Surfing:

Surfing is an aspect of surfing that has seen a recent resurgence in the Hawaiian Islands. It is a sport practiced at one time by the beach boys of Waikiki with roots that likely trace back even further. Recently, it has been picked up by watermen as an alternative way to ride surf and as a means of staying in shape. The Surf Rider is a cart that holds up one end of the surfboard while the front end is steered by the carrier.

Canyoning:

Canyoning is a white water ride down gorges and waterfalls.Canoes where originally built from materials such as wood that was covered in bark and whalebone, and then animal skins. Canoeing is a sport that can be enjoyed by all ages, race and ability.The basic kit consists of a canoe, buoyancy aid and paddle. Racing canoes are propelled by either sails or paddles. The International Challenge Cup, one of the oldest existing canoeing trophies, was originally offered by the New York Canoe Club (1885) as a perpetual challenge sailing prize. Canoe racing with paddles first became an official Olympic event at the Berlin games in 1936. Participants run down wet slabs of rock, jump off blind escarpments, scramble up rocks and abseil down drops. You get fully kitted out before you go with helmets and wetsuits.

Rafting:

Anyone can go white water rafting.raftingThere are trips available for all ages and ability levels. Most rivers only require that you be in reasonably good physical condition. However, some rivers and sections do require you be in top physical shape, some require a physical test before departure. Whitewater rafting takes the form of a large inflatable craft specially constructed to carry up to 8 adrenalin-seeking participants, down rivers of varying difficulty - from the tame to the extreme white water. For rafting you require simple swim suit, nylon shorts, tennis shoes or sandals, and a hat are appropriate. Spring and fall trips often require additional clothing.
